A quick "Heads-up" about our October meeting
 
The topic for the upcoming, October, meeting is “Magic from Magazines.”  You can use any magazine as your source: The Linking Ring, MUM, Genii, Magic, Pallbearers Review, The Christian Conjurer, Apocalypse, Laugh Makers, Ibidem, and even Popular Science and/or Popular Mechanics.  Yes, Popular Science and Popular Mechanics have published some really niffy tricks over the past decades.  As a young magician I built and used some minor miracles from these two periodicals.    

We’re hoping everyone will come to the October meeting with a trick or two they’ve gleaned from a magazine.  We also hope you will be willing to perform the effect and then explain where you found it. What magazine did it came from?  What issue?  Etc.

I know that will take a little time, so that's why we’re sending a “heads up” to give you some time to get ready.  We would like to have everyone come with something they can share with the group, even if it doesn’t come from a magazine. 

This is an open-mike meeting, so the success of the meeting depends on what each of us is willing to contribute.
